It was time for another photoshoot.
7 were dressed cutely with animal ear and tail accessories while BEST was dressed as animal trainers, complete with top hats and canes.
The Chinen clung to Takaki’s left arm, Yamada hung on to the other arm, Yuto held his legs, Ryutaro was on Takaki’s back, and Keito calmly watching.
“Takaki~” Chinen whined. “The tail is itchy~”
Yamada and Yuto joined in with “I’m hungry~”
Ryutaro just hung on and occasionally said “Ta~ka~GIII!!!” just to annoy him as a little brother would do to his older brother.
Hopelessly, Takaki glanced at Keito while trying to swat Yuto away, “And you? Anything you need to whine about?”
Keito shook his head sympathetically and walked away, not attempting to help Takaki.
Somewhere behind the Takaki-glomping area, Hikaru shrieked “CAT!” and ran to Yabu and sobbed.
Yuto looked up at his “ears” and “nya~”’d at Hikaru playfully.
Hikaru sobbed on Yabu’s shoulder “Don’t be so mean!! Dad! Do something!” He looked at Yabu.
The pictures turned out fine, but were the members standing awkwardly with Hikaru?

Unusually, all of Hey!Say! JUMP gathered for dinner together after that photoshoot. It was awkward at first, but they warmed up afterwards.
“Here, have some of this,” Yabu gave some beef to Chinen, who couldn’t quite reach things far away from him since their table was extra huge today, with all the members together. Chinen gratefully accepted, for he was eyeing it since it was placed there by the waiter.
“Eggplant,” Hikaru scooped some up with a spoon and gave it to Yamada with a knowing smile that you’d expect from a loving mother.
Inoo looked around and noticed something weird. Were they playing a trick on him? Or were the members of JUMP acting like a family? He mumbled, “Eh, whatever...” while chewing.
“KEI, IT’S RUDE TO TALK WITH A MOUTHFUL OF FOOD! DON’T YOU KNOW YOUR MANNERS?” exclaimed Hikaru. The others looked at him with a “wtf-is-he-doing” face.
“... Kei?” Inoo choked on a piece of chicken.
“Kei?” echoed the rest of JUMP.
“You’re grounded...” Hikaru only shook his head smartly and sat down calmly, not saying another word, cracking another joke, or replying to anyone.
The feel of a family was gone.

A sigh from Yabu signalled the ending of work for that month’s Shokura. He picked up some newspaper that was lying around.
As usual, Chinen was demanding laps for him to sit on. Today’s target was Yabu. Chinen made himself comfortable by shifting his weight side to side. Hopelessly, Yabu dropped the newspaper.
Daiki pounced on the newspaper and carried it back to his part of the changing room. (EH? WHAT HAVE I DONE? I MADE DAIKI TAKE ON THE ROLE OF THE FAMILY DOG?! >D I’m pure evil.)
Inoo stared in awe and whispered a quick, “what the fu-“ only to be stopped by Yuto.
“KEI-NIICHAN’S GONNA SAY THE ‘F’ WORD!!!” Yuto screamed at the top of his lungs.
“...Kei?” Inoo’s eyes grew wide.
“Kei?” everyone but Yuto and Hikaru echoed.
“KEI! I TOLD YOU THAT YOU’RE GROUNDED! Why? What have I done for you to not listen to your poor, poor mother...? Why!?” Hikaru dropped on his knees and took Inoo’s hand.
The members of JUMP decided to leave Hikaru alone for a week.

About a week later, they were called in by Yabu, who apparently was ditched by the manager to talk about their next song, Your Seed, and the PV they’re going to have.
“So, most of us should’ve heard the song already. Whoever hasn’t can come to me later for details. Next, is the planning for the PV. I’ve been told that our costumes are going to be black and silver. Some will have stripes of orange, yellow, white, and aqua. (Sorry, if I’m wrong about the colours. I’m typing this in the car and I can’t quite see my screen properly...) The PV will have a cooler image than our previous songs.”
Chinen glanced at Ryutaro. Meetings like these were so boring; they always just start playing a hand game silently.
About two minutes later, Ryutaro slammed the table and screamed, “CHINEN, YOU CHEATER!” Chinen moved to another spot, Daiki’s lap, and glared at Ryutaro along the way. Daiki rested his head on Chinen (somewhat like a huge dog resting his head on a little kid).
Hikaru stood up and grabbed Yabu’s and Ryosuke’s (he happened to sit next to Hikaru that day) hand “Honey, I can’t wait until I see my boys (and dog... LOL) in those cool costumes. How they’ve grown up...”
This time, everyone just decided to ignore him and carry on whatever they were doing.
5.
Colourful decorations were set up. Yabu, Takaki, and Inoo were in charge of putting up decorations in higher places (Sorry, Daiki, you’re not tall enough... LOL I’m so mean...); Daiki and Yamada were in charge of the cake, drinks, chips, and pretty much anything to do with food; Ryutaro and Chinen were in charge of decorations... Err... closer to the ground, like setting the table and organizing the presents; Keito and Yuto were in charge of events and music.
“I hope he’s gonna be happy that we spent so much time here,” said Daiki.
“I’m sure mom will be happy.”
“Eh? Yama-chan, what’d you say?” Daiki looked up from the food.
“Uhh, nothing...”

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HIKARU!!” yelled the members of JUMP when Hikaru entered the room.
“You guys...” Hikaru smiled. Inoo would’ve sworn he saw tears forming in Hikaru’s eyes.

“Hikaru, make a wish,” said Keito, who was echoed by the rest of JUMP with “mhmm”s.
“Hai! I wish that the following year, Hey!Say! JUMP will continue to be the family we are!”
“But-“ Ryutaro protested, but Chinen stopped him by shoving several grapes in his mouth.
Hikaru blew out the candles in one breath.

Since Yamada bought it, it was a strawberry cake. He ate each strawberry he had with care. And everytime he bit, JUMP could hear a little “mmm...” coming from him.
Hikaru grinned as Yuto gave Yamada his share of strawberries.
Takaki gave his whipped cream to Chinen who enjoyed every taste of it.
Hikaru grinned wider.
Ryutaro bounced everytime he had a bite.
Hikaru was about to squeal “KAWAII~”.
Inoo and Daiki shared another piece.
Hikaru started giggling.
Keito gave Hikaru another piece.
Hikaru was THIS CLOSE to glomping him.
Yabu fed Hikaru from his own fork.
Hikaru hugged Yabu.
“I love this family.”
This time, no one said anything. They just smiled and enjoyed the moment.
The moment of a family.

I can so imagine 7 in these clothes!!! So kawaii!!! And the 4 of them are glomping Takaki huh? Waaah!!!! So cuuute! *squeals* Wait... it's supposed to be... poor Takaki... NOT... GLOMPNESS!!!
